I love chocolate chip cookies. They are probably my all time favorite. I love them even more than snickerdoodles and peanut butter cookies. The best part is the raw dough. I managed to keep myself from licking the bowl this time. The sacrifices I make for this little baby boy.
I was lazy and used semi-sweet chocolate chips for these cookies. I didn't have the energy to chop my own chocolate. I did add chopped pecans and was pleasantly surprised with how yummy the cookies were with nuts.
I really enjoyed (and I'm still enjoying) these cookies. I'm kind of a cookie snob. I won't eat store bought cookies but if the cookie is homemade it will probably end up in my mouth. This will probably become my go-to chocolate cookie recipe. I have no complaints only praise.
Thanks to all for the kind wishes regarding our newest family member. Our little boy's expected due date is July 4th. We are beyond excited.
Thank you Kait of Kait's Plate for picking this week's recipe. Go to her blog for the recipe. I'm in heaven. Check out what all the other bakers thought of these yummy cookies at Tuesdays with Dorie.

This is my new go-to recipe also. I made the peanut butter variation.
ReplyDeleteLove your photos!
Okay, we'll forgive you this time for not chopping the chocolate... LOL But when this baby is around, you better get a grip girl! (boy! if you knew what a lazy a** I am! LOL LOL LOL)
ReplyDeleteI'm glad you (and bubie) enjoyed them! Have you started thinking about names? How about Chewey? LOL LOL LOL ...or Chip? LOL LOL LOL
Sooooooooo good! Your pictures look amazing this week.
ReplyDeleteThese look like they came out just perfect Kim.
ReplyDeleteyour cookies look great!! I loved these too! Nothing is better than a homemade chocolate chip cookie right out of the oven!!
ReplyDeleteYour cookies look beautiful. I bet the pecans made them delicious!
ReplyDeleteGlad you loved them, and congratulations!
ReplyDeletethey look great!
ReplyDeleteIf I haven't already said "Congratulations"... "Congratulations! :D Your cookies look perfect. Mine were flat. Tasty but flat.
ReplyDeleteI love that you're such a big fan of them! Isn't it fun to find a go-to recipe :) These weren't a favorite for me, too thin and crispy but there are plenty of other recipes to try. Love that first photo!
ReplyDeleteI love cookie snobs! So am I!
ReplyDeleteAnd congrats on the baby!
I didn't care too much for this CCC recipe because it turned out too thin and crispy. I'm all about thick and chewy!
Your photos are fantastic! They really make these cookies look extra special.
ReplyDeleteMmm, I agree with you--chocolate chip cookies are the best! If you ever need someone to come over and lick the bowl, give me a ring! I'm a dough-eating master.
ReplyDeleteI think those are probably the most perfect looking cc cookies I have seen. You have the knack. July 4th is a fine day for a birthday, or anywhere close to there as you get fireworks every single year! How special is that??
ReplyDeleteKIM!!! I'm so excited for you and Pete! Congratulations. :o) I am, once again, behind on reading and commenting and just read your brownie post. What a fantastic and sweet little belly you have!! I wish you guys the best of luck! I was just laying in bed this morning, cuddling with my boys, remembering when they were super tiny and new. It goes to fast.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, beautiful cookies and lovely pictures, too. Keep smiling and feel good!
those look terrific! i'm not sure why i left out the nuts, but i kinda wish i hadn't...next time. that little boy is going to be so excited every time you bake these for him!!

ReplyDeleteI hope your baking with me next week, I can't believe it's my turn to host..where did a year and a half go!?
Oh my gosh, that is too funny with Vibi helping you come up with names. And yay for boys! And yay for finding a go-to ccc!
ReplyDeleteThese look really great! I don't know the last time I bought cookies. Homemade are so much better!
ReplyDeleteThose look great. I liked the flavor but they came out too flat for me. Congrats on upcoming family member.
ReplyDeleteOOOOH you know what my favourite photo was in the entire post? The one of the raw batter, happily encasing ALL those chunky bits of chocolate. I swear I died and went to cookie dough heaven.
